The amount of migration in and out of china has increased since 1960 because of the economic growth the counrty has undergone.
The world bank ranked china the 4th largest country of emigrations.
8.3 million people born in china lived abroad in 2010, within this 3 million are chinese-born living in Hongkong and Macao. If that 3 million was classified as internal, china would still be considered one of the leading countries of immigration.
It is estimated that by the end of the 20th century over 33 million Chinese-born will be living out of China, Taiwan and HK. grieving
